The Employability Journey at MADE4U IN ML2
At MADE4U IN ML2, we believe in empowering individuals with the skills, confidence, and experience they need to succeed in the workplace. Whether youโre a young person looking for your first job, someone looking to re-enter the workforce, or an individual seeking practical work experience, we provide opportunities to support your employability journey.
Our Future Pathways programme is designed to help young people develop key skills, explore career options, and gain hands-on experience. This 10-week programme includes CV writing, interview prep, financial literacy, and workplace skills, ensuring participants are prepared for the next step in their careers. Through one-to-one mentoring and real-world placements, participants gain valuable experience that enhances their confidence and employability.
We also offer in-school employability sessions, partnering with Clyde Valley High School to deliver 32 sessions to 16 young people, focusing on career planning and workplace readiness. For school students, we provide work experience placements, giving them their first taste of the working world while helping them develop teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
For those transitioning into employment, we offer work placements across different areas, including community work, catering, administration, and youth work. Many of our volunteers and young people have gone on to secure jobs, including within MADE4U IN ML2 itself. For example, Scott, who initially joined us through a work placement, progressed into a paid staff role, demonstrating the opportunities available through our employability pathways.
