Vision & Ethos of MADE4U
As Christians, we believe that we have a project which offers the possibility of sharing the power and life of Jesus among young people, families and other adults in the ML2 8- postal area of Wishaw. Jesus encourages us to listen with His heart to the pain in people’s lives and to be guided by the Holy Spirit to bring God’s kingdom and hope to our area.
Living & working in this area, we already try to respond to the pain and struggles of so many here, but feel that we must do and develop more – both for young people struggling with low expectations and poor employment prospects, and for adults and families coping with debt, addictions, parenting, violence and many other problems.
We aim to meet people at their points of need, to offer encouragement and unconditional support, to help individuals gain in confidence, to empower, to encourage individuals and to work together to make a real difference for the good of this area.
The project is stepping out in faith by two congregations and supporters from other local churches, working in creative practical partnership, for our neighbors, for the people of our parishes, to offer unconditional support and to help individuals find self-respect and ways forward. We want to demonstrate the reality of the love of Christ by our practical care & encouragement.
Our motivation is rooted in our relationship with and faith in Jesus Christ. As recipients of his unconditional love and grace, we desire to serve others in his name. His example is our model for all that we are and do. We strive to reflect him as an organisation, in the services that we offer, and in our relationship with each other.
