We have an interesting and very important workshop coming up that is open to the community, The NSPCC's Listen Up Speak Up workshop aims to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect while fostering open discussions within the community. These free workshops are delivered by NSPCC Scotland staff to community members 18+ and each session typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour.

· How common is abuse and neglect and what are children and adults talking to us about?

🌟 What an Amazing few days at Holiday Club! 🌟

We've had an incredible time at Holiday Club, packed full of fun, creativity, and adventure! 🎨🏃‍♂️🍫

We had a big craft day, where the children got to explore their creativity, develop fine motor skills, and take home some fantastic pictures. We also got hands-on, making Rice Krispie cakes, which helped build confidence, teamwork, and a little bit of patience (waiting for them to set was the hardest part! 😆).

And, of course, we made the most of the fresh air with a fun-filled outdoor play day at the park! Running, climbing, and playing games not only kept us active but also helped strengthen friendships and teamwork. 🌳⚽

A huge thank you to all the children for their energy and enthusiasm, and to our wonderful team for making it all happen! We can’t wait to do it all again soon.

Last week at Juniors & Seniors was a great start to the new term! 🎉

In Juniors, the kids were settling back in after the Christmas break, and it was lovely to welcome a couple of new faces to the group! 🥰 We had a blast playing lots of fun games while practicing teamwork – they’re already off to an amazing start! 🎮🤝

In Seniors, the children set themselves some fantastic small goals to work towards both in the group and at home – like learning to prepare their own lunch! 🍴💪 It’s so inspiring to see them becoming more independent. We also had some great discussions about what they’d love to focus on in the group this term. Can’t wait to see what’s in store! 😊

We are absolutely delighted to be on this list, to have been awarded a grant from the The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland (The National Lottery Community Fund Lanarkshire) from the now closed Cost of Living Fund. This is huge for us in that it will allow us to continue and develop our holiday hunger provisions in replacement of the now-discontinued Club 365. It will also help us develop other cost-saving and life-improving provisions alongside you (our amazing community members), including a community pantry and tool library. Unfortunately, we have had to slightly increase the meals to £2 per meal which i hope you can understand with the rising food cost and energy bills. We have tried our best to keep our costs down. We still believe that £2 is still.

🎉Scottish Winter Warmer Night🎉

We are hosting a Scottish themed night at the centre on the 23rd of January and this time we would like to welcome children too. We will be having a 3 course meal made by our amazing chef and some entertainment for the whole family!

£3 per adult and kids will eat FREE but must be accompanied by a guardian.

We are also looking for a piper to help us out and pipe in the haggis if you know someone who could do this please send us a pm 🥳
